about

Paris lockdown sound recorded by Colin Hunter.

"Since midday on Tuesday 17 March 2020, France has been in lockdown in an effort to slow down the spread of Covid-19. The entire population must remain at home, with any movement strictly controlled and fines for those leaving their homes for reasons not deemed essential.

"Since the beginning of this quarantine, residents in Paris have been going out onto their balconies and front doors each evening at 8pm to applaud and cheer to pay respect to doctors, nurses and all those working in the health service helping to save lives every day."
